Our annual walk, to connect with our local environment, and learn about local faith & low-carbon initiatives.  All welcome – registration is now open.

This year we will be visiting Uplands Allotments in Handsworth to learn about growing sustainable food, and the role of bees.

Allotment committee member Malcolm Currie will walk us round part of the site – the ground is rough in places, and gently sloping. We will have the chance to chat to a few plot holders and hear about the issues facing them due to climate change and how they try to protect the natural environment e.g. by conserving water and not using harmful chemicals. It will include a visit to the bee hives, owned by Malcolm’s wife, Balbir Currie.

We will finish with a cup of tea outside (weather permitting). Please bring biscuits or cake to share if you can.

Children are welcome and are the responsibility of parents or carers.

This event is free, please register to help us plan for numbers:
