Footsteps has written letters to leaders, made statements and published reports on key climate issues over the past five years.
In November 2019 a letter in support of the Lambeth Declaration on Climate Change signed by the Birmingham Faith Leaders group and over 300 other people was given to Steve McCabe, MP to deliver to Amber Rudd, the then Energy and Climate Change Minister.
More recently, a letter from Birmingham’s faith communities calling on Birmingham City Council to declare a climate emergency was sent from Footsteps.
