All are welcome to join our annual interfaith walk. This is an opportunity to connect with nature, appreciate a variety of trees and woodland settings and spot wildlife in one of Birmingham’s most varied and treasured parks.
Many thanks to Barnt Green Quakers, for hosting us and proving a gathering point. The meeting house will be open from 12 noon so that walkers can bring a picnic lunch to eat in the garden, meet Barnt Green Quakers and chat beforehand. It’s an opportunity to be together and share in the care for nature that unites us across faiths.
We’ll be setting off on the walk at 2.30.
The walk will be around 3 miles on stony forest tracks with some uphill sections, arriving at the visitors centre where there will be a chance to rest. Bring appropriate footwear, we will go at a gentle pace.

The Lickey Hills has a complex and interesting geology which has created a variety of habitats, which we can explore and enjoy together. If you’re bringing little ones, there are play-parks near the meeting house, and the visitors centre. This is also a chance to meet up and hear about Footsteps’ exciting plans for the coming year, including a new project supporting community-led climate action.
