Footsteps supporters are invited to join this stitching session to contribute to the Coat of Hopes project.
Coat of Hopes is a travelling, community created, work of performance craft. A patchwork garment made of embroidered pieces of blanket, created by a diverse range of people along a 500 mile walk.
Carrying stitched griefs, remembrances, prayers and hopes connected to their local landscapes and stories of migration, to the gathering of world decision makers at COP26 in Glasgow.
Along the pilgrimage there are 10 Stitching Stops, including this one – join us then to witness the patches from Birmingham being sown into the coat.
If contributing a patch, or organising a group of people to, is something you’d like to do, please contact the organisers.
