Come and create a faith Sun mural with us! A fun, creative afternoon for families of all faiths and none. Suitable for children up to 14 years.
Many faiths recognise the importance of the sun for sustaining life. We’ll learn from each other’s perspectives, and enjoy creative activities. Children will receive a badge and certificate to celebrate what they’ve achieved together.
This free event will be an opportunity to:
- Come together as families for a fun afternoon.
- Explore how the Sun helps sustain us all.
- Create collages together, which will form a mural.
- Visit a Christian Church with an interesting history.
- Have tea together and celebrate!

In Mauritania on the banks of the Senegal River, a women’s cooperative uses solar energy to operate the borehole that supplies water to the market garden. This gives the women of the cooperative a regular income, as well as a rich variety of fruits and vegetables that promote the well-being of their children.
