Green Faith Adventurer

Toqueer Ahmed Quyyam is a passionate eco-campaigner who has worked with Footsteps for many years. Toqueer is currently developing an eco-action project as part of GrassRoutes, in which he shares his green faith adventures via a blog and videos.

Toqueer’s written and video reflections have a focus on urban regeneration, green energy, and climate action, from his perspective as a Muslim in Birmingham. Committed to making eco-friendly living accessible for all, this eco-action project is part of Toqueer’s engagement with local communities to promote sustainable housing, renewable energy adoption, and environmental education. His mission is to create lasting change by empowering individuals and policymakers to take meaningful action against climate change.

GrassRoutes works with and supports local faith-led eco-action projects in Birmingham. It links the role that many places of worship play in their local communities with the need to take urgent action to address the environmental and climate crisis we face. Part of Birmingham Faiths for Eco Action – a collaboration between Bahu Trust, Footsteps and climate solutions charity Ashden. Funded by Esmee Fairbairn.
