 or Local Faith Leaders\, Councillors\, Council Officers\, Voluntary Sector
  staff\, environmentalists and others. \n\n\n\nThis summer has seen a hea
 twave in the UK\, glaciers collapsing in Nepal\, extensive wildfires and o
 ther extreme events.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; The impact of climate change is becomin
 g increasingly felt in Birmingham and a supercharged El Niño is expected 
 this winter.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nThis conference will focus on the role that Pla
 ces of Worship can play as centres for climate adaptation and community re
 silience based on their trusted roles in local communities.  \n\n\n\n\nRe
 gister\n\n\n\n\nThe West Midlands Mayor has been invited\, and the Confere
 nce will be opened by Cllr Julien Pritchard\, Birmingham City Council Depu
 ty Leader.  Other speakers will include:\n\n\n\n\nAmrick Singh Ubhi DL\, 
 Nishkam Centre and co-chair Birmingham Faith Covenant Partnership\n\n\n\nK
 amran Shezad\, Bahu Trust who recently took a group of Balsall Heath to No
 rthern Pakistan to volunteer and study at first hand the impacts of climat
 e change\n\n\n\nMs Angella Del Mundo\, Footsteps’ Climate Adaptation lea
 d and Sacred Spaces\, Resilient Places student investigation coordinator.
  \n\n\n\n\nThere will also be opportunities for table discussions with re
 presentatives from WMCA\, Birmingham Council Route to Zero team\, Sustaina
 bility West Midlands\, Ashden Climate Solutions\, health and well Being sp
