DESCRIPTION:Footsteps will be making a contribution to this street iftar or
 ganised by mosques in Balsall Heath.  People of all faiths &amp\; none ar
 e invited to share in breaking the day's fast at this community event duri
 ng Ramadan.\n\nThis year the mosques and partner organisations have given 
 the iftar an environment theme 'Our Common Home':\n"With the holy month of
  Ramadan starting in early May\, preparations are in full swing to make al
 l necessary arrangements to provide food for Iftar. Unfortunately\, Muslim
 s generate huge quantities of food and waste which increases substantially
  during the month of Ramadan.\n\nThis year’s environmentally friendly th
 emed Unity/Street Iftar is a great way of highlighting these problems to a
  large number of people. At the same time showing people viable alternativ
 es and how they can make a positive difference be reducing waste they gene
 rate in their own lives."\nOrganised by a coalition of Fulham Road Mosque\
 , Sparkbrook Islamic Centre\, Clifton Road Mosque\, Bahu Trust and Mela.
