SUMMARY:Learning from Covid-19
DESCRIPTION:Following a successful online gathering Our Cities &amp\; Clima
 te\, Footsteps is holding four online workshops to obtain local community 
 and neighbourhood insights into the gathering’s main themes. This worksh
 op will focus on:\nLearning from Covid-19 - repairing the damage\, embeddi
 ng the positives\nRegister for Learning from Covid-19.\n"the Council will 
 lead by example and seek to be net zero carbon by 2030 – again ensuring 
 that this is just – taking communities with us\," - Birmingham City Coun
 cil Climate Emergency Declaration.\nThis workshop will explore what we can
  learn from Covid-19\, in particular the lessons for a just transition to 
 net zero carbon for Birmingham.  We'll begin with an introduction from Dr
  Ewan Hamnett (a retired Birmingham GP and expert on active wellbeing).  
 Dr Peter Rookes (Co-ordinator BCF Faiths Promoting Health and Well-being n
 etwork and BVSC Trustee) will provide an overview on some of the faith com
 munity and BVSC members' responses to the Covid emergency.  The meeting w
 ill then be thrown open to further contributions and discussion by partici
 pants.\n\nThe workshop will be feeding views and ideas from Birmingham’s
  communities into the City Council R20 Climate Emergency Taskforce.  In p
 articular\, Footsteps would like to hear stories from communities and prov
 ide the Taskforce with a view from the grassroots of what is needed and ex
 amples of what is already working well.\n\nThe event will be recorded to h
 elp communicate to R20\, and to build a resource on the Footsteps website.
