DESCRIPTION:Following a successful online gathering Our Cities &amp\; Clima
 te\, Footsteps is holding four online workshops to obtain local community 
 and neighbourhood insights into the gathering’s main themes. This worksh
 op will focus on:\nJust Transition - what does it look like for Birmingham
 ’s communities?\n"the Council will lead by example and seek to be net ze
 ro carbon by 2030 – again ensuring that this is just – taking communit
 ies with us\," - Birmingham City Council Climate Emergency Declaration.\nT
 his workshop will explore the idea of a just transition to net zero carbon
 \, and what this means for local and faith communities in Birmingham.  We
 'll begin with a 20-minute introduction by David Cox\, which will then be 
 developed by our invited guests\, before being thrown open to further cont
 ributions and discussion by participants.\n\nThe workshop will be feeding 
 views and ideas from Birmingham’s communities into the City Council R20 
 Climate Emergency Taskforce.  In particular\, Footsteps would like to hea
 r stories from communities and provide the Taskforce with a view from the 
 grassroots of what is needed and examples of what is already working well.
 \n\nThe event will be recorded to help communicate to R20\, and to build a
  resource on the Footsteps website.\n\nPlease register for the event: this
  workshop will be limited to 20 participants to maximise discussion opport
 unities.\n\nRegister for Just Transition - Communities\n\nDavid Cox OBE - 
 a proponent of cycling\, walking and play as key elements of active travel
  and public health\, David will introduce the workshop with a conversation
  on Just Transition with Footsteps. David was also a member of Birmingham 
 City Council’s 2011 Social Inclusion Task Force.\n\nInvited guests will
