SUMMARY:Heat Pump Workshop
DESCRIPTION:A workshop for faith communities\, exploring the benefits of sw
itching to heat pumps.  Hear from experts and people who have had heat pu
mps installed in their own homes and faith buildings.\n\nFootsteps has org
anised this workshop specifically for faith communities to share the benef
its of using heat pumps in place of gas boilers. We'll particularly be loo
king at using heat pumps in homes\, as part of 'fabric first' insulation a
pproaches. The workshop will include to visit to see a heat pump in situ a
t Shivaji &amp\; Magdalen's house. Plus an optional visit to Cotteridge Qu
aker Meeting House that has been using heat pumps for over 14 years as its
main heating system.\n\nThis is a Footsteps 'cross-city' event\, in partn
ership with Phil Beardmore from Green Doors. Our friends at MECC in Balsal
l Heath have told us of the need for impartial information about heat pump
s for local community members. Installers are promoting Government grants
for heat pump installation but not always providing advice on the installa
tion issues involved.  This is your chance to ask questions to impartial
experts and people who are using heat pumps themselves.\n\nRegister for He
