DESCRIPTION:Birmingham's Young People have taken the lead in climate action
 .  Want to have your say?\nWhat message do you want to send to Birmingham
  City Council?\nThis workshop will be centring the voices of young people 
 aged under 25.  Register to join the discussion\, which will be recorded 
 and fed directly to Birmingham's Route to Zero Taskforce. Air your frustra
 tions\, and share your ideas!\n\nRegister for Climate - Perspectives of Yo
 ung People\n\nFollowing a successful online gathering Our Cities &amp\; Cl
 imate\, Footsteps is holding four online workshops to obtain local communi
 ty and neighbourhood insights into the gathering’s main themes. This wor
 kshop will focus on:\nEarth\, Climate and Birmingham - the perspectives of
  young people\n"We've realised that\, to confront this injustice\, we need
  to be active. We need to voice our views\, loud and clear\, be active and
  engage politically. We all must confront the injustice and hold our leade
 rs to account." - Anya Nanning Ramamurthy\nThis workshop will explore the 
 idea of a just transition to net zero carbon\, and the perspectives of you
 ng people who have been leading the call for meaningful change.  We'll be
 gin with an introduction by Anya Nanning Ramamurthy (a young Quaker climat
 e activist) which will then be thrown open to further contributions and di
 scussion by participants.\n\nThe workshop will be feeding views and ideas 
 from Birmingham’s communities into the City Council R20 Climate Emergenc
 y Taskforce.  In particular\, Footsteps would like to hear stories from y
 oung people and provide the Taskforce with a view from the grassroots of w
 hat is needed and examples of what is already working well.\n\nThe event w
 ill be recorded to help communicate to R20\, and to build a resource on th
 e Footsteps website.\n\nPlease register for the event: this workshop is op
 en to older participants\, but we will be centring the voices of young peo
