  Day 2020\, Footsteps is holding a webinar to launch its Birmingham air qu
 ality and health issues survey.\n\nRegister for Clean Air Day\n\nEvery yea
 r\, air pollution causes up to 36\,000 deaths in the UK.  The Wo
 rld Health Organisation and the UK Government recognise that air pollution
  is the largest environmental health risk we face today. Poor air quality 
 causes heart and lung diseases\, is linked to low birth weight and childre
 n’s lung development and may even contribute to mental health issues
 .  UK Clean Air Day is the UK's largest air pollution campaign\, engaging
  thousands of people at hundreds of events\, and reaching millions more th
 rough the media.\n\nThe Footsteps’ Birmingham air quality and health iss
 ues survey was undertaken to investigate citizens’ experiences of the cl
 eaner air window created by the Covid-19 lockdown in early 2020.  The sur
 vey was undertaken by Dylan Mustafa\, a sixth form medical sciences studen
 t\, as a summer holiday volunteering project.\n\nWe will be joined by an i
