 red commitment to preserving forests at this lively outdoor event! Bring f
 riends and family\, get inspired\, and pick up your copy of the Keep Fores
 ts\, Don’t Deforest! booklet. Digbeth Community Garden is right next to 
 the Warehouse\, and is a model for what a faith community 'garden' eco-act
 ion  project could look like.\n\n 	Tree Specialist Speakers: Get expert i
 nsights on how to protect our precious woodlands.\n 	Garden Volunteers: Le
 arn from the people making this urban oasis thrive.\n 	Fun Activities: Enj
 oy a day of hands-on family-friendly crafts\, and interactive sessions.\n 
 	Refreshments: Free hot and cold drinks and snacks.\n\nFootsteps works clo
 sely with Birmingham Friends of the Earth (BFoE) as our aims are very much
  aligned. In fact\, Footsteps is a Friends of the Earth 'local action grou
 p' with a memorandum of understanding with national FoE - we are the only 
 faith based local action group.\n\nLast year BFoE launched their Keep Fore
 sts\, Don’t Deforest! project to shine a spotlight on the devastating im
 pact of deforestation across the world\, linking it to our broader Planet 
 Over Profit campaign.  The aim of the project is to raise awareness of th
 e environmental harms and human rights abuses that can occur in supply cha
 ins. Over the autumn they asked members of the public to explore the theme
  of deforestation through the written word or artwork. They have collated 
 the submissions into a booklet which they will be sending to decision make
 rs as well as using to raise awareness of the issues.\n\nThe event is drop
  in with the speaker session running 11:30am-12:30pm. You don't need to re
